The Senior Center has served 3000 meals this week between Home Delivered Meals, Congregate Grab and Go Meals and urgent meal deliveries. The Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council has delivered 830 meals to 68 households utilizing 25 volunteers. The total meals served this week to older adults in our community is 3830.
Home Delivered Meals received and responded to 23 calls for food this week. Last month, March, the senior center received 150 food requests in total, the same amount received in all of 2018. All were responded to and given appropriate resources to help them.
The Senior Center transportation program provided 105 essential rides to older adults for medical or grocery needs. We will continue to support our community as One HB!
