UPDATED MAY 10, 2022

Surf City USA is alive with the sound of music! Live tunes sing from bars and pubs along Main Street, bustling restaurants along Pacific Coast Highway, the best Oktoberfest in Orange County, and our very own concert venue in the sand. Hear us out.

Old Crow Smokehouse

Pacific City’s resident barbecue kitchen and country music box, Old Crow, hosts dueling pianos every Thursday at 8 p.m., as well as live country tunes every Friday and Saturday night at 9 p.m. Sip southern cocktails and savor bbq styles from the Carolinas, Memphis, Kansas City, and Texas to southerly sounds.

Perqs Nightclub & Sports Bar

Music booms from the stage at Perqs almost nightly, with live music slated for Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus karaoke on Thursdays. Another perk of Perqs? They have happy hour every weekday from 3-6 p.m. and all day Wednesdays, plus they're always serving up delicious food from 25 Degrees.

SeaLegs At The Beach

SeaLegs at the Beach is part beachfront concert venue, part beach concessionaire, part kid-friendly adult playground. Welcoming celebrity acts like Snoop Dogg and local favorites like Tijuana Dogs to its stage, SeaLegs’ impressive lineup also features weekly Reggae Sundays and rockin’ live music on Saturdays. It also rocks for other reasons, like its gourmet beach bites and bar, fire pits hugged by Adirondack chairs, and picnic tables in the sand.

Captain Jack’s

Captain Jack's is a quintessential seafoodery that has been around for more than 50 years and is one of the rare spots along Pacific Coast Highway that offers peaceful Huntington Harbour views with dinner. Pair that with live music by local singer-songwriter Jim Quealy in the lounge every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, and you’ve got yourself an experience.

Old World Village

A charming Bavarian utopia inhabited by unique eateries and shops, Old World has been entertaining Huntington Beach since 1978. Not only is the village home to one of Orange County’s best Oktoberfests—featuring imported German bands—it also slates live music at The Biergarten from Friday-Sunday, with a live comedy show popping up twice a month on Thursdays. Check their event calendar for more sweet beats.

Cruisers Pizza Bar & Grill

Known in Downtown HB for its 25 TVs and traditional Chicago style stuffed pizza, Cruisers has made a name for itself in the live music scene. On top of karaoke every Tuesday from 8:30 to 11 p.m. and happy hour Monday-Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. (and, of course, being a crowd favorite for any type of televised sports game), Cruisers has played host to a slew of live reggae and rock shows. The real crowd pleaser, however, has been the recent resurgence of their Emo Night, where cover bands for popular emo and pop punk bands bring the house down. Follow Cruisers on Instagram to keep up with their latest and greatest events.
