Chili at the Beach
June 16, 2018 | 11 AM - 4 PM
The annual Chili at the Beach competition determines the king or queen of the popular slow-cooked meal. Two dozen booths stretch along the first three blocks of Main Street, providing tastes of chili and salsa. Ticket holders stroll along with ballot cards making notes to help with the difficult decision of choosing their top two favorite chilis and salsas. At the same time, "blind" samples are collected to deliver to the private judges' area. For a quick chili break make your way down to the Huntington Beach Pier and Surf City USA beach.
