• Runners will observe a moment of silence before Sunday’s Marathon and Half Marathon

  • On course tribute planned for Mile 8 and Mile 24 in remembrance of Orange County residents

  • 17,000 runners to participant in 24th annual event on the Pacific Coast Highway this weekend

One of the largest special events in Orange County, the 2020 Surf City Marathon and Half Marathon will welcome 17,000 runners to the Pacific Coast Highway on Sunday morning.

In memory of the nine Orange County residents tragically killed in a helicopter crash last weekend, the race will being with an extended moment of silence in remembrance of the victims and families affected. 

Participants can also pay their respects during the marathon and half marathon at a special on-course tribute planned for mile markers 8 and 24.
