Terms and Conditions for Content Shared with VHB

Huntington Beach visitors and locals love to share photos and videos that highlight their favorite spots, activities, moments, and experiences in the destination. Visit Huntington Beach (VHB) values being able to showcase Surf City USA® through our community's point of view. While the VHB team can't share every piece of content we receive, our terms and conditions for sharing are listed below.

Before You Submit Sharable Content to Visit Huntington Beach

By sharing or submitting photo, video, or written content with VHB through any of VHB's digital platforms (ex: online form, uploading tool, email, FTP) or via its CrowdRiff link, you acknowledge and attest that you have the full rights and ownership of that content. VHB will not be held liable for content you submit in which you do not hold full rights and ownership. In that situation, use of that content will be ceased and removed immediately.

Terms of Use of Content Shared with Visit Huntington Beach

Any content shared or submitted to VHB's platforms will be used only for editorial purposes to market and promote Huntington Beach as a tourism, film, meetings, and sports destination on any of its promotional and public relations channels. This includes, but is not limited to:

VHB Website: webpage; blog; featured listing widget; image gallery; page listing
Social Media: Facebook; Instagram; LinkedIn; Pinterest; TikTok; Threads
Digital Content: banner ad; e-newsletter; press kit
Print: brochure; collateral; flyer; poster; sign; visitor guide

Content will not be used for personal purposes; however, VHB will reach out to the content owner for special use cases (ex: a paid marketing campaign). Credit will be attributed whenever possible, but some restrictions may apply.

Opt Out of Granting VHB Permission to Use Shared Content

Excluding any official paid or unpaid Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), transaction/barter, or agreement established with VHB, you may choose to opt out of the permission granted to VHB to use any photo, video, or written content you submitted to VHB. If you prefer to no longer grant content permission to VHB, you can send an e-mail to marketing@surfcityusa.com or send us written correspondence at: Attention Marketing, 155 Fifth Street, Suite 111, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. Please include your name, and clear, specific information on the piece(s) of content. Please allow VHB up to 10 business days to remove.
