AVP Huntington Beach Open – May 17 – 19, 2024
The 2024 AVP makes its way back to the Huntington Beach sands for one of the first stops of the season. Since 2000, Surf City USA® has hosted more AVP events than any other location. 2024 is sure to bring a fresh reset for beach volleyball with exciting events and matchups. Watch this awesome tournament down by the sea while soaking up some sunshine.
US Open of Surfing – August 3 – 11, 2024
The US Open of Surfing is the world's largest surf competition. The event will include world-class surfing and product demos and samples from favorite action sport industry brands. The event is free to the public. Walk right into the action each day by staying at one of Huntington Beach's oceanfront hotels and explore our numerous outdoor activities, places to eat and surf culture while here in Surf City USA®.
A Great Day in the Stoke – September 14, 2024
The first A Great Day in the Stoke was held in Huntington Beach on June 4, 2022, and was the largest gathering of Black surfers in history. The event created a safe space for Black surfers to connect, compete, recognize, and award community leaders, provide surf lessons, and capture an iconic photo similar to ones taken at A Great Day in Harlem (1958) and A Great Day in Hip-Hop (1998). The goal of A Great Day in the Stoke is to welcome all communities and allies to surf in unity.
Pacific Airshow – October 4 – 6, 2024
The headlining U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, fan-favorite F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team and A-10 Demo Team are just a few of this year's performers who will be returning to the event. Dozens of military and civilian performers will be announced in the lead-up to what is being lauded as the biggest Airshow yet.
Fall Corgi Beach Day – October 26, 2024
Corgi Beach Day is a biannual event that takes place at Huntington Dog Beach in the spring and fall. The largest bash of its kind, the event celebrates all things corgis; the cute little dogs are known for their great personalities, adorable coats, and friendly smiles. Corgi owners and dog enthusiasts commune from all over to “pawty” at the beach and enjoy themed contests and activities, photo stations, dog-centric vendor village, corgi kissing booth, gourmet food truck pavilion, and much more! All dogs (and humans) are welcome to attend this free, family-friendly event.
California Wine Festival in Huntington Beach – November 8 – 9, 2024
Wine, food, music, sea, and sun. These elements create the quintessential wine tasting experience that is the California Wine Festival in Huntington Beach. Paséa Hotel & Spa will host California's best wineries pouring hundreds of vintage red and white wines, complemented by dozens of the region’s top chefs and specialty food purveyors serving gourmet appetizers along with live music and an ocean view.
