Bolsa Chica Land Trust

  • The mission of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust is to acquire, restore and preserve ALL of the mesa, lowlands, and wetlands of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, and to educate the public about this natural wonder and its cultural significance.

The Bolsa Chica Land Trust conducts free guided walking tours of the wetlands and the upper mesa area on the third Satuday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Tours begin from the south parking lot, located on Pacific Coast Highway across from Bolsa Chica State Beach. Look for the white canopy and tables at the back of the lot by the footbridge, which is where you will meet the docent. Wear comfortable shoes and sun protection, and be sure to bring binoculars or a camera!
