Surf City Marathon

The annual marathon will feature a beach mile, 5K, half marathon, and marathon. The oceanfront course takes you through the best of Huntington Beach, from Pacific Coast Highway to Central Park. The mostly flat course is perfect for new marathoners and is even used by some as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
Beach Mile - Saturday, February 4
Start Time: 11 a.m.
Start/Finish Location: On the soft sand near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway & Huntington Street
Included with your Beach Mile Registration:
- The 2022 Beach Mile Visor
- Finisher's Medal
- 1 Free Beer for 21+ in the Beer Garden - open until 4 p.m. on Saturday
- Race bib & timing chip
The Beach Mile does NOT apply towards the Longboard Legacy program, Beach Cities Challenge, Golden State Challenge, or any other challenges.
Participants who complete the Beach Mile on Saturday and any race on Sunday (Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K) will receive a special Cowabunga Challenge medal.
5K - Sunday, February 5
Start Time: 7 a.m.
Start/Finish Location: Intersection of Pacific Coast Highway & Huntington Street
Included with your 5K Registration:
