Surfing has always been an integral part of Huntington Beach, which led to its iconic nickname Surf City USA®. You can experience the surf culture at the US Open and throughout Huntington Beach at the events and places below.

In addition to seeing top surfers compete in the US Open, including Huntington Beach native Kanoa Igarashi, there are other sporting competitions taking place throughout the week.
- Nitro Circus Full Throttle FMX competition
- July 29 and August 5, 2023
- Have you ever seen freestyle motocross on the beach? For the first time ever, the Nitro Circus' Full Throttle FMX riders will be competing in Huntington Beach.
- The Huntington Beach Longboard Classic
- This will be the first stop on the WSL Longboard Tour
