• John Todora promoted to director of national accounts

Huntington Beach, Calif.— February 1, 2023 — Visit Huntington Beach (VHB), the official destination marketing organization of Huntington Beach, Calif., announces the growth of its group sales and marketing departments. As Huntington Beach is pacing positive recovery in the tourism sector, VHB is growing to meet its goals in 2023 and beyond.

 

John Todora has been promoted to director of national accounts after five transformative years with VHB. In that time, he has led sales initiatives with the OC Sports Commission, the Pacific Airshow, select service properties, the West Coast DMO Alliance and IMEX America 2022. Additionally, Todora graduated from the Huntington Beach Robert Mayer Leadership Academy in 2021.

 

“John’s ability to build relationships nationally has made him an invaluable member of our team,” shared Susan Valen, director of sales, VHB. “His dynamic approach to meeting and exceeding sales goals has greatly contributed to the growth of our department and the entire organization.”

 

Kris Kelley joins VHB as its group sales coordinator, providing support to the entire group sales department and serving as the point of contact for external organizations. Prior to VHB, Kelley worked at The Walt Disney Company for over seventeen years and held roles focused on employee learning and development, operations, and customer experience.

 

The marketing department recruited Cassidy Roosen and Claire Muranaka to its roster. Roosen, a Southern California native who specializes in media strategy and content creation, joins VHB as the digital marketing manager. Roosen previously worked in the government and healthcare industry managing digital communications. Claire Muranaka joins as the public relations coordinator, bringing strong writing and media relations skills from her experience at an agency.
