Huntington Beach, Calif., February 8, 2013 - The Huntington Beach Marketing & Visitors congratulates Vans and IMG on their new partnership to sponsor the famed US Open of Surfing event held annually at the Huntington Beach Pier.

Vans® and International Management Group (IMG) have officially announced a three-year partnership encompassing Vans' title sponsorship of the US Open of Surfing.  This new sponsorship holds lots of promise for the future of the world's largest and most prestigious surf contest.  Vans and IMG hope to engage the surf industry back to its roots, encouraging an all-inclusive, world-class surfing competition and cultural festival.

The US Open of Surfing, Southern California's largest surf festival, returns to Surf City USA® July 20th - 28th.  The event, which is owned and produced by IMG, brings out the biggest names in surfing, professional skateboarders, musicians and up-and-coming artists.  Attracting crowds of nearly one million people over the course of the nine-day event, US Open attendees will experience an interactive festival featuring more than 100 exhibits, autograph signings, DJs, guest emcees and prize giveaways.  All events are open to the public and free of charge.
