Traveling to Huntington Beach? Be prepared to travel responsibly and bring a face mask. While here, please be mindful of your surroundings and thoughtful of others: social distancing, wearing face coverings, and washing your hands. Huntington Beach is doing everything it can to be clean and safe so you can stay healthy and enjoy beautiful Surf City USA.
This event promises to become a legend of fun and fitness. Surf City Days was created by the Huntington Beach Downtown Business Improvement District as a celebration of Surf City USA and includes activities and competitions such as a beach volleyball tournament, paddle boarding race, and surf and skate contests. On Main Street, vendors from popular surf, paddle, skate, and snow companies offer demos and sales on the latest gear. Families enjoy the Cowabunga Van Klan vintage VW bus show, hot rods and live music, among other kids activities.
The weekend also includes the popular Blessing of the Waves on Sunday morning. This non-denominational event brings together surfers, priests, rabbis, pastors, imams, and other participants to show spiritual appreciation for the ocean. A mix of prayer service, messages from local surfing legends, and live music, this Huntington Beach tradition closes with a ceremonial paddle-out.
