As a Surfing Walk of Fame inductee, Scott Farnsworth started surfing and competing at a young age while growing up in Huntington Beach. After rising to the top of the NSSA ranks, Farnsworth, at age 19, was selected to the U.S. National Team and competed in the 1984 World Amateur Surfing Championships. Farnsworth went on to win the individual title and helped fuel Team USA to victory over Australia. He was on the pro tour for five years before deciding to finish school and focus on starting a career. Farnsworth now works in extensive sales and brand development among action sports companies and is currently the National Sales and Retail Marketing Manager at Skullcandy, Inc.
