Visitors and locals are fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy world class cuisine and topnotch cocktails right here in Huntington Beach at the OPM Lounge & Restaurant. Located on Warner Avenue, OPM is a modern and eclectic interpretation of New American cuisine with global influences. For Executive Chef Charles Cho, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, creating his signature flavors stem from his love of blending cultures and ingredients from around the world including Japan, Korea, Hawaii, London, Paris, New York, Mexico and California.
Cho changes his menus seasonally and often on a daily basis using the highest quality local produce. He and his staff also prepare fresh meat and fish on site every day before pairing them with international ingredients that please the palate.
Cho designs all menu items to be shared. Guests frequently order the uni pasta, featuring Santa Barbara sea urchin, udon (Japanese thick wheat flour noodles) and shiso daikon (a type of radish) sprouts. Another popular choice is the pork belly bun, built from braised pork belly with a ponzu (citrus-based) glaze served on a steamed bun and accompanied with a mango green papaya salad. A recent reviewer on Yelp claims, “It's seared to perfection and very tasty!”
Deserts are equally creative. A couple of excellent choices are the green tea tiramisu or the foie gras ice cream served with raisin and date bread pudding, apple compote and a prosciutto chip.
The staff at OPM takes pride in their first-rate service, lively chic atmosphere and welcoming energy that’s inviting for guests dropping in to dine or to sip on a cocktail at the bar. OPM offers a diverse seasonal selection of craft cocktails, premium spirits, craft beers and an international boutique wine list. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays during happy hour, cocktails, wines and appetizers are discounted.
Thursdays are a great time to visit and enjoy an extensive selection of fresh oysters and champagne at a reduced price. Sunday mornings are irresistible at OPM because of the special brunch menu with distinctive items such as seafood towers at the raw bar and a variety of styles of eggs Benedict. For adults, bottomless mimosas are offered at the bloody mary bar, where guests can order any vodka and do their own mixing.
Sundays also feature OPM’s resident disc jockey who creates a relaxing lounge vibe by spinning mellow music. Plus, every Friday and Saturday night the DJ pumps up the volume with lively tunes for guests who are ready to celebrate the weekend. Stop by THIS Saturday, January 30 to see Brody Jenner who will be spinning all night.
