Southeast Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach’s most southern pocket, Southeast HB quietly delivers on adventure and dining. Along the coast, Huntington State Beach attracts swimmers, bodysurfers, and boogie boarders—especially during high season when surfing is restricted in select areas. It’s also a prime stretch of sand for birdwatching during the day and beach bonfires come sunset.

Across Pacific Coast Highway, RV campers roll up to Huntington By The Sea RV Resort for a waterfront experience like no other. Bicyclists pedal the Santa Ana River Trail, which runs all the way to San Bernardino, and birders stroll the Huntington Beach Wetlands trails for a glimpse of approximately 90 species of birds.

As with most lightly trodden pockets of town, gems shine throughout the neighborhood. Start the morning off at Pur Bowls, for a fresh delicious acai bowl, or Bagelmania for specialty bagels, sandwiches, and coffee. Celebrate date night at Mona Lisa Cucina, an intimate Italian bistro plating gourmet pasta and pizza, or at Don Jose a high-quality native Mexican restaurant.
