Enjoy Fun Beach Activities on the Ocean Strand

One of Surf City USA's® greatest beachside attractions is the 8.5 mile stretch of paved boardwalk known as the Ocean Strand. Running parallel to the PCH and the beach, the Ocean Strand stretches a total of 12.5 miles from Sunset Beach to Newport Beach. And heading inland along the Santa Ana Trail provides even more mileage.

Along the sand, and under California palms along Ocean Strand, it is perfect for fun beach activities such as jogging, biking, roller blading, skateboarding, dog-walking or just renting a beach-cruiser and doing a little sightseeing.

The strand runs along all four of the Surf City beaches, and Huntington Beach restaurants and outdoor hangouts are plentiful along the way.
