Sunny Side Up, Surf City-Style
Enjoy old-fashioned home-cooked meals at the Sugar Shack Cafe, a delightful family-owned restaurant frequented by local surfers and families for the last 40 years. Devoted regulars who enjoy their eggs and coffee at the counter experience surf culture first-hand with walls covered from floor to ceiling in historic pictures and posters. Outdoor seating is also available with an eye-catching view of the Pier and the Pacific Ocean. Fresh and filling -- treat yourself to daily specials like Wednesday’s Savory Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings. Open for breakfast and lunch daily.
A Local Favorite for Over 40 Years
For more than 40 years, 5 Points Plaza has been “a family of stores, serving families like yours.” Offering a unique blend of customer service and national retailers, loyal patrons and third-generation Huntington Beach locals often shop here a few times a week. Anchored by big-name stores like the Gap and Old Navy, 5 Points offers a community concierge, giving shoppers that extra attention not often found at large malls.
Shop at a Historical Landmark
M.E. Helme Antiques, located in the Helme/Worthy Historic Site on Walnut Avenue, is a wonderland of vintage items, beautiful costume jewelry, glassware, dolls, figurines and collectibles. Not only is it a great place for treasure hunting, but it is also a historic treasure itself. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the buildings were constructed circa 1904 by Mathew E. Helme and are still owned and operated by his descendants.
Dog Beach
Explore Dog Beach for a unique beach experience where canines play leash-free in the surf and sand. A popular hangout for Orange County dog lovers, this one-mile strip of sand is a doggy paradise.
