The holiday season is in full swing and there’s no better place to celebrate than Surf City USA®! In sunny seaside Huntington Beach, you’ll find an array of shopping options for everyone on your gift list, as well as restaurants galore for a bite to eat or a drink when the shopping’s done. In fact, why not stay a few days for a holiday getaway on the beach?
The Race IS ON!
The annual Surf City USA® Marathon takes place Sunday, February 3, 2008. Experience the Active Lifestyle Expo that weekend, as well as a beer-garden barbecue and live music by retro-surf bands. Finish off the weekend by joining in Super Bowl Sunday festivities — catch the end of the marathon while enjoying football’s biggest event at local venues like Sharkeez, the Longboard Restaurant and Pub or Hurricanes Bar & Grill.
Marathon registration is currently full. Click here for more details on registering for the Half-marathon, 5K and Kids Run, or for attending any of the related festivities. Also, complete any three consecutive Pacific Shoreline/Surf City events — including the Marathon, Half-marathon or 5K — and you’ll automatically become a member of the Longboard Legacy Club.

Celebrate the New Year in Surf City USA®!
Ring in the New Year to the music of waves rolling in Surf City USA®! On New Year’s Eve, there’s plenty happening — like the New Year’s Eve Jazz Celebration at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. There’s also the ever-popular New Year’s Eve Ballroom Dance at the Michael E. Rodgers Seniors' Center, featuring the swinging sounds of the Bob Warren Trio, champagne and a delicious dinner catered by Stonefire Grill. This event sells out every year, so get your tickets now. On New Year’s Day you can recover from the previous night’s festivities and usher in 2008 with a refreshing dip in the Pacific Ocean by participating in the annual Huntington Beach Pier Plaza Plunge.
Don’t forget to book a room and ensure yourself a safe and “surfantastic” New Year celebration.
