Huntington City Beach

Crowned by the famous
Huntington Beach Pier, this popular stretch of sand extends for 3.5 miles through the heart of Huntington Beach. With the pier,
major hotels and
Main Street shopping and
dining experiences right across the Pacific Coast Highway, the beach is the perfect hub for those wanting to be in the middle of it all.
Board, body and kite surfing are City Beach favs, as is
sandcastle-building, swimming and sunbathing. After the sun goes down, the beach becomes a local hangout as crowds of friends gather and take advantage of city-provided bonfire pits, which can be seen glowing from end to end.
Here you’ll also find the
surf and sport competitions Huntington Beach is known for such as the
US Open of Surfing and AVP Pro Beach Volleyball tournaments.
Even with its popularity, the City Beach still refreshingly lacks commercial development other than your occasional beachside concession or surf shop.
It’s one of the things that separates Surf City USA® from every other beach town in California. Hanging out on HB City Beach, one feels the vibes of the old-school California culture.
