The Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau (HBCVB) Board of Directors is composed of 14 voting members, to expand to 15 in 2008. One member is appointed by the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce and 13 are elected to three-year terms. Five voting members represent retail, manufacturing, restaurant or service-related industries. Five elected members are hoteliers, expanding to six in 2008; two are citizens-at-large with vested interests in tourism and one has a demonstrated interest in ecotourism. No elected director can serve more than two full consecutive three-year terms.
The Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. except during July and December. Meetings are held at various locations and are open to the public; comments are invited at the beginning of each meeting.
